On Hallow Eve night we got a tub of water and put some apples in it. When one of us put in a head someone used push it under the water. The apples were so large none of us could get our mouth around them.
We got a shovel head and put it on the fire. When it was hot we put two nuts on it naming them after two people. Some of the pairs of nuts would burn out side by side, others would quarrel and jump over one another or perhaps into the fire.
