- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)spirit wanted to kill three people. There was man who went to Cork for some message and it was midnight when he was coming home. He had to cross a river on his way home, and the spirit was at the river before him. After a long time she allowed him to cross the river, but she said that she would kill him when he came to the next river. He started to sing a song in praise of her, so that she gave him permission to go home. He told his story to the old woman and she said that he would be sick next morning. He was sick for a month after, but then he recovered.
