    marked with paint. The thirteenth of May and the twenty-eight of October are the two great fairs of the year in Listowel. There are fairs held every two weeks. Pig fairs are held on Tuesday. Cattle and bonham fairs are held on Wednesday. When a horse is sold the seller gives a web with the horse as it is considered lucky to get it.
