  1. There is a crock of gold buried in a lane at Cloonagh, Dysart, Co. Roscommon, with two black cats minding it. Nobody can find it except a girl on horseback. If that girl goes while the cats are out she will find it; and if she puts it on the horse's mane, and gallops over the stream near by before the cats return, she will succeed in taking it away.
    If they should return while she is digging up the gold they would attack her and drive her away. Nobody has
