  1. We grow about three acres of potatoes every year, and we always sow the same amount. We use them all either for ourselves or for the animals and fowl.
    We sell none.
    My father ploughs the land for them. If the land is lea, he makes ridges of it. He puts six scribes in every ridge. If the land is stubble he makes drills for the potatoes.
