    It is about a hundred years ago since the night of the big wind. The old people say that it lasted twelve hours. It destroyed many houses, and killed many people. The month's before that was very bad, and the people had not their hay and oats gathered. It was all scattered around the fields. There was no lightning, but there was heavy thunder showers.
