  1. Just at the end of Mr Duffy's land in the town-land of Tavanaghmore, in the Parish of Straide, flows a river. There is a cure in its water at the South side where the three baronies of Carra, Clan-Morris and Gallon meet. Long ago people came a great distance for some of the water. The river flows into Lough Na Minnoo, which is in the parish of Balla.
