There was once a school-master named O'Hara in Knocksaxon who was reared a poor scholar. - "Cillín". The name given to a place where unbaptised children were buried.
There is such a place in Balla near where the creamery now stands. There is another in Carnahan and still another in Knockmore.
They are all round in shape. They are now closed and not used.
There was a little church in each one. There are three large grave-yards in the Belcarra half of the parish namely;(continues on next page)- Collector
