    All the people around Prizon set about an acre of potatoes. They make ridges in a lea field. They leave a dyke between every two ridges. Then they slit the potatoes. They must have an eye in every slit or it won't grow. The children spread the slits on the ridges. They leave about a foot between every line of slits.
