- Long ago people used eat different food than they do now-days. In the morning they would rise early and they would do a great deal of work before they would eat any breakfast. The they would eat oatmeal porridge. At dinner they would eat potatoes and drink butter-milk. The table they had was a basket and everyone in the house would sit round it and eat their meals.
