    A rush hat. 27.7.'38.
    To make a rush hat you must go to the bog & pull a bunch of long rushes & tie every two of them together & wave they rushes to and fro untill you have them shaped like a hat. Then you must tie them at the top. The people long ago used to wear them in the bog at summer-time.
