    two hobs which were kept as seats for visitors that came in at night. In each hob there was a hole called poll a bhaic & in it the people kept old stockens & usually the cat slept in it. In some houses the fire was on the middle of the floor with the smoke going out through a hole in the roof. The windows were small & they were opened on hinges. There were no glass in the windows but the were made of sheep-skins. The doors were made off
