  1. My father told me a story about a pedlar who lived in Ballyheane. He lived in a small hut in the side of the road. He was an old man and he was very poor man. He went around in an asscart gathering rags and wool. In the summer he would go up the mountians and gather the wool in the hills. While he would be away he would stay with his friends. When he would come home he would send rags and wool away to Sligo. He used to sell eggstands and tin [basions?] and brushes and other things. He would
