    St John's day falls on the 24 th of June .Bonfires can be seen blazing over the country side on the previous night.Boys and girls can be seen dancing around the dying embers ,in the early hours of morning .lots of people go to St .John's well on this day and perform rounds.This well is in Newhall a few miles to the west of Ennis.
