    that St. Cronan was escaping by a secret pass when he was seen and shot by one of the soldiers.
    There is no feast day commemorated in his honour. There are people buried in the Abbey grounds as it is now used as a cemetery.
    Inchicronan Island is in Inchicronan Lake, which is about a half a mile south of Crusheen.
