- There is a holy well in our farm. It is called after Saint Mochulla who is the patron saint of Tulla. The well is surrounded by a grove of trees which are mostly wonderful oaks.
It was the custom for the people to go to the well for the cure of sore eyes. When the people are leaving the well they always leave some token of respect after them in honour of Saint Mochulla. It is said that you should not take any thing out of the place near the well or if you do you will suffer. Many strange things happened at the well. It is said that two trees fell across the well in the shape of a cross. The trees are to(continues on next page)- Collector
