    It is said that there is a crock of gold buried under a whithorn tree in Knockadoon. People often went to look for it but they did not find any.The people who to look for it always died.
    There was some more gold buried under the foundation of a house in Ashler long ago.On the road to Crusheen there is gold buried under a house and there is a bull protecting the gold and many people lost their lives over this bull.
