Everyone present should take a turn at the churn while making. When you leave the house to go on a journey, you should not return for anything. Spilling salt, breaking a mirror, and seeing magpies. Should not return salt. Should not enter a house going from a funeral. Putting potatoes (beside the fire before going to bed)
