    There are a lot of stories told in our district about crocks of gold and about men digging for them.

    digging for gold. There was once a man in Corlea and he and another man were ploughing one day and one of them stripped a crock of gold and did not tell the other but said he would come and take it that night.
    Before going into dinner he took off an old straw rope which he had tied around him and threw it on the scrape under which the crock of gold was situated. When he came out again lo: there was a rope the same as his own on every scrape in the field and he could not identify the one he wanted.
