  1. This is a list of the games we play at different times of the year.
    The games that are played in the summer are. Tig, I have a wee bird in my pocket, House and Jolly Welsh men.
    The winter games are, sliding skating, snow-balling, dancing, card-playing and ludo.
    When sitting around the fire on Winter nights, old people tell stories of Ghosts and old raths of long ago.
    Girls do not play the same games as boys. Boys play hurling and football, and other different games on Sunday.
    In Spring school boys play whipping tops and in Summer and Autumn shooting marble and playing skittles
