  1. Steampí was a bread made from potatoes. The raw potatoes were grated and the pulp was rung in a cloth, and the water squeezed out of it. This was mixed with a little flour, made into a cake and baked. It was used to celebtrate the finish of the potato digging.
    Eggs were used on Easter Sunday. Tea on Christmas Eve as a luxury (when it was rarely used in the district.
    Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.
    Bread made from the wheat crop reaped on that harvest was used at Michealmas Eve Lá le Mhícíl
