    "Food of Olden Times".
    The people of long ago had three meals a day and they were the breakfast,dinner and the "scamsin " or the heap of roasters.They had the breakfast at nine o'clock in the morning and they used have five hours of work done at that time .They used to wait until the pot of potatoes be boiled and then they used to eat them with "sour" milk and salt.They used to say "they are no good without the moon"which means the heart of it should not be boiled.
    They had the dinner at one o'clock and it consisted of potatoes and turnips.They used to have the
