Once upon a time, Cromwell was only a shoe-makers son, but as years rolled by, he became a great lord.
Het got this title because, his father was offered this title if he turned a Protestant and so he did. He was taken into a court and made a great Lord.
As Cromwell was growing up his father died, and his title was left to Cromwell, and as long as he lived, he never lost his title.
