    a stream in a hollow below the cross. There are wells on each side of the road appearing about four feet over the road surface. inside the walls on each side there is a a sloping fall of about 25 feet to the fields below.
    It is said that the sand earth and stones that fill the hollow for about 100 years under the road were all put there by one man who transported the huge mess of material with an ass and cart when men worked for a penny a day in Famine Times.
