  1. From Coolroe Ardatten crossing to Leaney Ardatten there was an ancient road. It crosses through Mr Rothwell's woodlands into Mrs Blakes Leaney and meets the Blacklion [?] road near Mrs Blakes laneway. The new Road runs from Blacklion Cross to Leaney Cross. Tradition says that when Cromwell was in Ireland three horse loads of money were being transported on the old road which is now covered with grass hedges etc. The guard was attacked somewhere near Leaney and the soldiers of Cromwell hid the money somewhere
