    repaired to Moran's forge and he was so pleased with the workmanship of the smith that he ordered two sets of shoes - one for the grey Liath Macha and the other for the black, Dubh Fhoilean. St. Patrick visited the district on horseback found it necesary to call the Moran's forge, and while waiting to have his horse shod betook himself to Laragh Hill, overlooking the forge, and the stone on which he sat is since known as St. Patrick's chair. To sit on the chair is said to be a cure for pains in the back and other ills.
