  2. Proceeding from Kingscourt to Baileboro' by the mountain road is the hill of Loughran Leagh rising to a height of 1,600 ft. In this remote locality an oratory formerly existed. It was founded about 1300 A.D. by Gillia Jison(?) O'Reylie, Dynast of Breffni, and dedicated to the Blessed Virgin. In 1393 the monks were expelled and replaced
