This humble stone what few vain marbles can....

This humble stone what few vain marbles can,
May truly say, here lies an honest man,
Who on the eve of his Redeemer's birth,
Fled all the joys and sorrows of this earth,
To brighter regions where he joins the song,
And chants Hosanna mid the Heavenly throng.
We mourn thee Thomas Cusack here alas,
That thou didst not more mortal seasons pass,
Yet mellow was thy season in sixty three,
In proper upright conduct passed by thee,
Thy sorrowing sons have placed this tablet here,
In the ninteenth century's thirty second year.

In this school district the children come from two townlands Kilfieragh and Donoughboy. There are no Irish speakers now living in either of these townlands.
