    shore about four hundred yards away. Cromwell's soldiers knocked the top off the tower and one of them found this famous bell in the ruins. He dragged it to the lake shore and then flung it far out in the water The bell has never been found. A local legend testifies that fishermen stuick what they believed to be the bell with their oars.
    A search was then made to locate it but no trace could be found.
    Some people say it is supposed to ring every four years,
    1645 A.D. is date given of O'Neill's wait for Crowmell and some believe that O'Neill wasn't poisoned here but feigned such to divert Cromwell from his plans.
