    workmen dig them with spades.
    In the evening my brother and sisters and I gather the potatoes. The big potatoes are put in a heap by themselves, in the field, and the little ones are put by themselves. When all the potatoes are dug, they are put into the barn. The local names of the potatoes are Kerr's Pinks, Epicures, Arran banners, and Irish Queens. Epicures and Kerr's Pinks grow best in the district.
