    set out for the island, and suceeded in crossing the Shannon from Kerry on a flag. When she reached the island, St. Senan having told her of his rule of never allowing a woman to set foot on the island, forbad her to land, and instead suggested her to visit his mother.
    Then she said all she desired was to receive Holy Communion on the island, and to obtain a spot of earth on its shore in which her remains might be deposited after death. Holy Communion was given to her and she expired after having received it. Then a grave was dug at high-water's mark, and she was buried in it. The grave is now covered by the waters of the Shannon, except
