    a mound of earth upon which many fairies were seen dancing and singing.
    In Cathair na Gort many wild cats were seen and if you came near them they would eat you.
    A big hole called a Tunnel was along through the ground and would bring you to Scattery.
    Another story is that a man ploughed in a fort and when he turned the first sod a spind [?] rose up and flew into the River Shannon and went into the hole again.
    A man sowed potatoes in a fort. He dug them and he could never quench his thirst after that until he died.
