    herbs have been used for cures for people and animals such as the hemlock dandalion, and Chicken-weed.
    Hemlock is used as a cure for a horses swollen joint.
    The most harmful weed in Clara is chicken weed. It spreads over a lot of ground in a short space of time. The thistles and dockens grow where the land is badly laboured.
    Thistles are a cure for a sick pig. They are cut up into small pieces and put through her meat.
    Chicken weed is used for a burn. They are warmed on the fire and butter is rubbed on it, and left on the burn
