    to see if the duck as still there. She was and again the dog would swim around it and bark at it as before.
    The man then got a long fishing rod to pull her in and when he had her beside the bank she lifted her head and looked about her and flew around the lake and alighted in the island again. There she remains as the island ghost in the form of a duck.
