  1. Between the townlands of Killalanarick and Killefana there is a small lake. It is connected to a larger lake by a narrow strip of water known locally as a 'deuog'.
    In this small lake is a small island with a lone sally bush growing on it. In olden times a ghost used to be on the road adjacent to the lake and was always annoying people at night and paid particular attention to the local Priest when going that way on sick calls, and on one occasion took him off his horse.
