    The Barony of Clonkee continued
ready at an hour to repel the aggression of certain borders between Farney and O'Reilly Cavan called Clankies.
The agreement commissioned George Alleyne in 1618 to visit the several Baronies in Cavan and enquire if the undertakers had a sufficient store of arms, and men capable of bearing arms.
The following is the 'Master Roll of Clankee'.
    Sir James Hamilton 61 men , 3 muskets, 1 caliver, 22 pikes, 48 swords
John and William Hamilton 48 men, 4 muskets 10 calivers, 26 pikes, 39 swords
William Bailie (Toneregue) 24 men, 4 muskets, 6 calivers, 8 pikes and 18 swords.
