  1. There are many old roads in our district.
    A Short distance from our house there is an old road, which is very narrow. In several places it crosses rivers. If walking, you cross by means of a plank and hand-rail. Anyone driving, has to drive right through the water, as there is no proper bridge. In olden times, it is said, this was the chief road from Bailieboro to Carrickmacross.
