  2. The big storm was in the year of eighteen forty-nine There were a lot of thatched houses knocked. The tinkers were got dead in lakes, rivers and along the sides of the roads. Some of the animals were blown away.
    The waves of the sea were blown miles out on to the land. Hay and straw were tumbled.
