    In Gowna and Ballinagh every kind of animals are sold on the one day.
    When an animal is sold the seller and buyer strike hands and then the seller gives the buyer a luck penny and then the buyer marks the animals. Fairs are held in Cavan every second Tuesday in the month and in Ballinagh every first Tuesday in the month.
