    The neighbours on their beds at night,
    To sleep they are afraid,
    Because you never know the hour,
    That he carried out his raid,
    One very cold and stormy night,
    Not very long ago,
    This donkey with a comrade,
    To Campbells straight did go,
    They first attacked a stack of oats,
    Their hunger to subdew,
    And next part of a potato heap,
    And disappeared from view.
    Early next morning poor Campbell he went out
    To view his little property,
    And have a look about,
    A heap of straw he did espy,
