a great time among themselves. An old custom here was the dragging home of the bride this was that the bride did not come to the groom's house on her wedding day but waited for a week at her father's house. During this time all her friends were entertained of the best. The grooms man was sent at the end of the week to bring her to her new home.
This custom was known as the dragging home. It is dying out now.
