    The boys they raised, their fifes to play again that night by the Foggy Dew.

    Right in front of them, they saw a man astanding in the lane.
    He's a member of the "Shinn Fein band," Brian Sheridan is his name.
    He called out "stop," right on the spot,
    for I'll not let you through
    Until you play "St Patricks day' and likewise the Foggy Dew.

    Now Molly's sons, they were no goms to do so they refused.
    So he nimbly tapped them on the head, their features he abused.
