    now occupied by foxes which there is no hope of reaching or hunting. Many have tried to climb the rocks but failed.
    The Holy Well is situated near the Cat's Cradle. It is a pure spring. Over it is a huge flag stone. At one end of the flag is a bare perpendicular rock. On the top of the rock is a white thorn - fruit-less and leaf-less. It grows out of the bare earthless rock. Though it lives it produces neither leaves nor fruit. It is very old, yet undecayed. It is believed a priest was murdered while at Mass there.
    Near the top is the remains of a Graveyard. About a rood of ground is covered with mounds of clay. These are believed to be graves.
