- Next door to my house lived a carpenter 40 years ago the name of Pat Keogh. Nine years ago he closed his trade and died a few months later R.I.P. His nephew Eddie Keogh Polarea still carries on the trade.
The articles made by him were; carts, barrows, harrows, settle beds, dressers, tables, chairs and doors.
Chizels, plains, saws of various kinds,a square, pinncers, were among the tools he used.
Coffins were also made by him. When a death occured in the neighbourhood, Pat was asked to the place, and in one of the out-offices he made the coffin of deal. Phil Gafney Corlislea (R.I.P.) completed(continues on next page)
