  1. The fairs in this district are Ballinagh Crossdoney and Cavan.
    The fairs are always held in these towns.
    Sometimes after the fair would be over the buyers often went through the country buying animals at farmer's houses.
    This is still continued.
    In Cavan and Crossdoney the fairs are held on a place called a green and in Ballinagh it is held on the streets.
    When an animal is sold money called a luckpenny is given to the buyer.
    This luckpenny is calculated according to the price got for the animal.
