  1. (continued from previous page)
Was I that great man Prince Albert
Lovely Kathleen she would wear a crown
A palace for her I'd erect one
    Convenient to lovely Miltown.
But as for to gain her by force
I never could do it I am sure
For by the Queens men she is protected
A guard they were left at her door
Or was I that great man Alexandra
    Her fortress I'd quickly surround
My life I would venture to gain her
She is the flower of lovely Miltown.
    V
You young men of good education
Dont look on these lines with a frown
Because that my learning is scanty
My pen I am going to lay down
May the heavens above be her guardian
And the angels protect her all round
May the blessings of freedom shine on her
She is the flower of lovely Miltown.
