There are no local poets in this district of any account except a few men who made up songs or poetry about such incidents as '' The tossing of Swanlinbar chapel,'' The football team, and poetry about their neighbours with whom they may have quarrelled. A few of these men are Owen Fee, Jimmy Reilly and others, 'The tossing of Swanlinbar chapel, '' was composed by a man named Thomas Macgoldrick of Clohogue. He is now dead R.I.P.
