  1. There were not many shops long ago. The people used to go to the nearest town to make purchases. The people used to buy and sell after Mass as they do today. They used to give money for the goods they bought. There were no days on which business was supposed to be unlucky. There were no markets held long ago. The people used to call the coins - half crowns, shillings etc "franks".
    When the people got the goods long ago without money it was called "tick" or "score". Pedlars went
