    Old people say that Friday is a lucky day for changing work, or for changing from one house to another.
    Potatoes are generally sowed the first and second weeks in April. If sowed in March, the May frost would "burn" them and it would take a long time before they would be any size.
    April borrows nine days from March to help to skin "the old cow". These nine days are very harsh, bitter and cold.
