Jaundice. People used to call them the "yellow janders". They used boil herbs, one of which is "Blue-Eye", in new milk, and give the patient half a wine-glassful to drink, three times a day.
"Anthony's Fire" or "Shingles". If a man, by name of Keogh, bleeds his finger and puts the blood on the affected parts of the person, it will cure him.
Stye on Eye Take a thorn off a goose-berry bush and point it to the eye nine times "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost"
Warts. Get a little bag and put a stone in it for every wart you have, and leave the bag on the road. Whoever finds it and picks it up will get the warts, and yours will disappear.
